Page School Holiday Helper Program

As we have done for the past 26 years, the Page School will again sponsor children from local families who are experiencing significant economic and social hardships. This year, we will be providing children with holiday gifts identified through two local social service organizations:

  1. We’ve “adopted” eight children through the Amesbury Holiday Program. Each child is granted four wishes for gifts: two items of clothing, and two toys.
  2. We’re working with the Pettengill House to supply gift cards for ten local families to help make their holidays brighter for their children. The Pettengill House supports families in Amesbury, Byfield, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury.

Please consider ordering gift cards through the Holiday Scrip program (orders due 12/2), since a portion will go directly back to our school! What a great way to help multiple causes!

All gifts should be age appropriate, NEW, and UNWRAPPED

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED? It’s easy. And it’s all online.

  1. Go to
  2. You will be taken to an active signup for requested gifts and gift cards.
  3. Please note: the easiest way to edit your choices later on is to have an account. You only need to give your name, an email address, and a password. does not share or pass on your information in any way.
  4. Please return your gifts to school to one of the large labeled Holiday Helper bins by Friday, December 9th. You can also drop off your gifts/gift cards in the bin on the front porch of Brooke Lear’s home, please email Brooke for address.

SCRIP Gift Card Program

WHAT IS IT?  It is fundraising while you shop.

HOW DOES IT WORK?  The WNPTO sells you gift cards from your favorite stores, and you go shopping.  We purchase them at bulk rates, so we get a percentage of the profits.

WHY IT WORKS: The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending a single additional penny.  Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP Gift Cards at the stores that participate in the SCRIP Gift Card program!  And SCRIP Gift Cards can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and even dining out.

WHAT IS THE CATCH?  The hard part is rethinking your budget, and planning around the SCRIP order dates.  We will send out the order forms at different times of the school year.  You send us your order on a specified date along with a check to the WNPTO and we order your gift cards.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY GIFT CARDS? Approximately 1-2 weeks.

HOW DO I GET MY GIFT CARDS? You can choose one of three options: we can mail them to you in a self addressed stamped envelope, we can send them home in your child’s backpack, or you can pick them up at an assigned time and place.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT? It is a great way to do your regular shopping or shop for the upcoming holidays, all the while benefiting the Page.  You do not need to buy anything you would not normally buy, just the things you usually buy, such as gas, food, dining out, and of course, all those holiday gifts!

Thanks so much for buying SCRIP, and let’s put those shopping dollars to work!

Orders are due Friday, December 2nd. Gift cards will be coming home Friday, December 9th.

Please consider purchasing gift cards for the Holiday Helper Program – Pettengill House. The gift cards will be used to help local families in need for the holidays. Great options for families are: Kmart, Walmart, CVS, TJMaxx/Marshalls.
